Friendly and competent service! Adorable counter! We were very happy with our meals, a hash brown sandwich and a patty melt. The gentleman working the grill is a master with eggs. The fries were perfection. My only issue was that the cheese in my patty melt was placed on the burger patty, when it should have been placed on the bread so as to cover more real estate with its hot melty goodness. But overall I was pleased and am happy to return.
This is the best diner in the neighbourhood. The food is consistently delicious, especially the tuna melt and breakfast specials. The service is outstanding, always friendly and my coffee is constantly being refilled. The prices are really good, which I feel like is becoming super rare, and the cafe itself is always cozy and clean. I highly recommend.
In need of lunch fast, I saw this spot on the corner and decided to give it a try. I was looking for a sandwich, something filling, and I had a feeling this place would have it. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the waitress. I sat at the counter and ordered to-go. I ordered the steak sandwich medium-well and it was more "well" than medium, making ir a bit dry. The condiment they use on the steak sandwich is mayo - not my style so I went without. I do wish they had a garlic aoili as another option. Any aoili, quite frankly. Fries were thick and hot. Would i come here again? Yes, for sure. I saw they had a brunch menu and it isn't just for the weekends!!! So that's a perk. Do they have mimosas? I didn't quite check. The vibe of this place is a small, quiet diner. It was recommended to me to try the corned beef hash so if i am ever in the area again, that's what i'll order.
Great classic find. Breakfast, burgers, and sandwiches. Their bbq burgers are delicious - thick and juicy. Efficient and friendky service. It's nice one can get a meal under $20 in the City.
Omg. The corn beef hash is SO GOOD. This was super nostalgic for me because where I grew up in Wisconsin, I ate corn beef hash a ton, and it was my favorite breakfast food. Since I moved to SF I haven't seen it anywhere!! This was my first and only corn beef hash I've seen in SF and it was damn good, just like the stuff I had as a kid. The service was very friendly too. The coffee was not very good and the toast was burnt, but the hash was so good that I didn't care.
The salmon breakfast dish was so delicious and fresh. The service was top notch. I was surprised how many times I passed by here and never enter this place. I am glad I finally enter this restaurant. A good dining experience.
